Here at Elevate RTC we are working with a well-known food manufacturer to look for a Technical Shift Auditor. You will be responsible for ensuring that processes and products throughout the factory and leaving the plant comply with agreed specifications regarding quality and food safety.

You will also be required to conduct, monitor and record relevant checks on all aspects of production. Highlight any non-conformances which may occur and take appropriate corrective action. Work with all departments to create effective working relationships in an environment of continual improvement.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities


To be accountable for

  1. Influencing, motivating and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver a valued service to customers, promoting both individually, and as a team, a “can do” attitude.


  1. Champion increased awareness in Quality and Food Safety, monitor adherence to QMS policies and Procedures.
  2. Working as part of an integrated Technical team, building and promoting a Food Safety culture at all levels on site.



To be accountable for

  1. Recording and auditing conformance to standards including, but not limited to, GMP, Glass, CCP, pre-start ups post sanitation, WIP inspections, chemical titrations, equipment calibration and ensure permanent fix corrective actions are in place and completed.
  2. To assist in site audits and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, completing traceability exercises, completion of routine environmental swabbing, registering samples for micro testing, water sampling and ensuring the site is 24/7 audit ready in both GMP and documentation requirements.
  3. In partnership with production, to ensure our product meets its quality standards as defined by the Quality Manual, investigating customer complaints, leading daily taste panels on finished product and managing blocked stock levels to a minimum by driving permanent fix corrective actions.

  3. Challenging unsafe behaviours and providing consequences to those who do not follow the company H&S policy.
  4. Adhering to the duties required for your role within the Company Health and Safety policy.


Food Safety

To be accountable for

  1. The management and implementation of the company food safety and quality policy
    1. Establishing practices to maintain a Food Safety and Quality focused mind-set that holds people to account for those standards 
  2. Managing your own area in such a way that encourages your team to adopt this mind set and deliver high levels of compliance as a basic operating standard by
    1. Ensuring competence and capability of team members.
    2. Ensuring the information and instruction is provided, training is carried out, and supervision maintained to enable work to be performed accurately and consistently by your team
  3. Promoting and enforcing behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical. 
  4. Immediate escalation reporting on the status on any non-compliance in the system or process (to management) for countermeasure or immediate remedy


We are looking for someone with the below experience and knowledge:

  • Previous experience of working with the food industry and process knowledge
  • Proved experience of influencing others to achieve results
  • Experience of completing internal audits within a Food Manufacturing facility and driving improvement
  • Basic Microbiology Knowledge
  • Level 3 Food Safety Certificate
  • Quality Management Systems


The correct person for the whole will be able to lead while keeping their team happy. Be customer focused and have the ability to motivate the team and introduce change where needed. Be create and strategic while having excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
