We are working with a Bakery business in Manchester that specialises in manufacturing chilled and frozen Bakery products for customers throughout the UK. They are seeking a day based Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their Technical team responsible for product quality and integrity throughout the site.

With over 25 years of heritage, this company sits in a structure of 8 manufacturing sites in the UK with support from a further two sales offices based in London.

As the Quality Assurance Supervisor your duties will include:

  • Ensure that defined procedures are carried out by the Quality Assurance team relating to quality issues, hygiene, housekeeping, and discipline
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities as laid out by the Technical Manager
  • Supervise in conjunction with the Technical Manager, the resources (labour, materials, and equipment) to achieve quality objectives by controlling an effective procedures programme
  • Ensure the safety, legality and quality of the product at all times in conjunction with prescribed working practices
  • Constantly assess the QA staff and report back their performance whilst identifying any circumstances that affect this
  • Liaise with other departmental supervisors by efficient departmental communications
  • Assist in ensuring QA staff receive the correct training to meet the company’s requirements

To be a successful Quality Supervisor you will have the following skills and experience:

  • A proven background in managing teams within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience of internal and external audits including GMP and Allergen audits
  • Proven Time management skills: Accustomed to working with and meeting deadlines
  • Data inputting and analysis skills. Accustomed to working with and interpreting data

In return the Quality Assurance Supervisor will receive a salary of £26,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience.
