Production Manager - Norfolk

Our Client is a poultry manufacturing company based in Norfolk is looking to add to there existing management team. A motivated Production Manager is required.

Reporting to the Director you will be required to co-ordinate and manage the Line Leaders to deliver the product volume required as planned, whilst actively monitoring the achievement of all set standards including efficiency, customer specifications, quality and hygiene.

Working as part of the operational team you will be responsible for:

• Leading the team on the shift
• Driving product to a quality standard, ensuring it matches the requisite specification
• Ensuring health and safety compliance is met throughout, leading by example to help embed it as culture on site.
• Controlling cost within budget and implementation of efficient waste management, continually driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement of the site.
• Review procedures in the factory to ensure point one is achieved.

We are interested to hear from you if you have:

• Experience at a management level in a food manufacturing environment, ideally within meat. 
• Slaughter Hall or Packaging experience
• Ability to lead and develop individuals and teams
• Understanding and use of continuous improvement tools and techniques
• Ability to understand business financials
• Experience of internal and external auditing
• Good IT Skills
• Strong background in managing teams
• Experience of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Ability to prioritise within a fast-paced environment
