We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well established and widely renowned dairy manufacturer in Somerset. 

The company have been manufacturing a widely variety of dairy products for a number of years now and have a very well respected name and brand within their chosen field. They have excellent plans for the future and are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated and knowledgeable team. 

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve working as a team to provide breakdown cover for the dairy production facility and will require operation and maintenance of boilers, water treatment systems and cooling towers. 

We are interested in speaking to you if you have one of the following experiences,

  • Previous role as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer or Technician
  • General mechanical engineering on production machinery
  • Measuring and analysing of machinery performance using predictive maintenance techniques
  • Previous experience in the food (preferably dairy) or FMCG
  • Experience working with water treatment systems, air systems and steam boilers

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have the following qualifications

  • Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC) Level 3 or above
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship 
  • Electrical awareness training

The Maintenance Engineer role attracts an annual salary of just below £35,000 with an extra shift allowance (paid monthly) and also call out allowance as well. The position also is on a day shift basis (Monday - Friday) with an excellent pension scheme and holiday allowance of 28 days (including bank holidays).
