Maintenance Engineer - Hertfordshire

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for a market leading and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company in Hertfordshire.

The company are part of the group who are one of the UK’s leading privately-owned food businesses, and has increased turnover by over £100 million in the last three years. The company have a new state of the art factory in Hertfordshire and manufacture products that are accustomed to all major retailers.

The Maintenance Engineer role takes responsibility for all production lines on site and will involve working with a team of engineers to react to machine breakdowns and improve overall efficiency for the site.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have one of the following skills and experiences

  • Previous experience as a Multi-skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or a Technician
  • Experience within an automated food manufacturing or FMCG business
  • Improvement of site efficiency and downtime figures
  • Reactive and PPM maintenance
  • Experience working with engineering budgets, project work and Continuous Improvement implementation
  • Previous experience working with robotics

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have one of the following qualifications

  • Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds, HNC)
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship
  • Accredited wiring regulations (16th or 17th Edition)
  • PLC training courses

The Maintenance Engineer role comes with an attractive annual salary of £40,000 - £45,000 on a day shift pattern (4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts) along with excellent company benefits.
