Maintenance Engineer - Hampshire

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for a well established and rapidly expanding FMCG manufacturing company based just outside Chichester, in Hampshire. 

The company are a market leader within FMCG manufacturing and have been established for a very long time. Since formation they have continued to grow year on year and are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join an already well established engineering department in their production department. 

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve working alongside a team of technicians and operatives to ensure the smooth running of the production site. The role will also involve a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, project work and continuous improvement implementation where appropriate. 

We are interested in hearing from you if you have one of the following skills and experiences,

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer or Technician
  • Experience within FMCG environments such as food, packaging, pharmaceuticals etc
  • Knowledge of how to improve production figures and minimise machinery downtime
  • Capability of quickly identifying and efficiently resolving mechanical/electrical faults
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical control panels
  • Continuous improvement implementation and methodologies

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have the following qualifications,

  • Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ/BTEC/HNC/HNC/City & Guilds)
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship 
  • Relevant mechanical/electrical qualification
  • PLC training programme

The Maintenance Engineer role attracts a basic annual salary of £30,000 on a shift pattern that involves working an early and late shift, as well as days.
