Maintenance Engineer - Oxfordshire

A chance to join a business that has been going for decades is always an exciting prospect. That is what is on offer here, as we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical bias for well established manufacturing company in Oxfordshire. 

Times are tough at the moment, but it's great to see companies hiring and this is no exception. Turnover in the 100's of millions per year, this company has a number of sites across both the UK and France, employing thousands of members of staff in the UK.

As mentioned earlier, we are searching for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. The role will be extremely varied, with one day never being the same as the other. There will be responsibility for keeping the production lines going, ensuring all planned maintenance is adhered to and identifying areas of improvement within the department. 

Experiences of any of the below would be highly advantageous

  • Previous role as a Maintenance Engineer in Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Production 
  • Responding to breakdowns on production and plant equipment
  • Mult-skilled role with responsibility for electrical and mechanical upgrades and improvements
  • Adherance to health and safety procedures 
  • Familiarity with a factory being audit ready at all times

Qualifications that would be advantageous also 

  • Time served engineering apprenticeship
  • BTEC Level 3 or HNC in Engineering
  • Three years experience in a high speed production facility
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations/ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

The Maintenance Engineer role is a day and night shift role on 4 on 4 off (7pm – 7am) and is attracting a salary of between £35,000 - £40,000. Other benefits are included as well as regular opportunities for overtime and progression.
