We are currently looking for talented and enthusiastic Maintenance Engineers to join an established team at a distribution centre in Castle Donington. You will carry out reactive, preventive and predictive maintenance on shift – related to electrical and mechanical engineering works.

The Role:

  • Actively support and contribute to a continuous improvement programme, identifying, evaluating and prioritising opportunities to achieve optimum plant reliability and quality
  • Striving towards achieving system, engineering and personal KPI’s
  • Working closely with, and offering assistance to, other team members
  • Daily liaison with the site operational management team - sharing work plans and requirements
  • Coaching and leadership of the Engineering Assistants on shift / Providing support for junior team members
  • Working safely - according to legislation and regulations
  • Supporting the Engineering Shift Manager - filling in as / when required
  • Shift log / incidents analysis

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (DAYS) –  some flexibility required -more information available on request. This is a full time, permanent role.

The Person:

  • A recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate engineering discipline, minimum ONC / OND level qualification
  • Prior experience in a similar role gained within a manufacturing or warehouse / logistics environment
  • Multi-skilled with recognised cross training (from Mechanical to Electrical or Electrical to Mechanical)
  • A passion for Continuous Improvement
  • Comfortable working at height
  • GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) in Maths and English
  • Candidates qualified to IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition) will be treated favourably

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive starting salary (between £29,000 - £39,000 dependent on skills and experience) and excellent employee benefits.
