Maintenance Engineer - Cambridgeshire

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical bias for a days based position (Monday - Friday) for a well known UK wide packaging company in Newmarket. 

The company specialise in the manufacturing of recycled packaging and supply a large number of customers across the UK and Europe. The site in Newmarket is one of their flagship sites and specialise in corrugated cardboard manufacturing. 

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve working alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers working days and nights, maintaining plant machinery and contributing to continuously improving production performances. 

We are interested in hearing from you if you have the following skills and experiences

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer or Technician
• Experience within FMCG or manufacturing environment (food, packaging, pharmaceuticals etc)
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and strategies
• Investigating and resolving recent breakdown issues
• Efficiently and effectively maintain / overhaul and improve factory assets

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have the following qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ/BTEC/HNC/ City & Guilds)
• Time-served engineering apprenticeship
• 16th/17th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Welding/Fabricating

The Maintenance Engineer role attracts a salary of between £32,000 - £36,000 on a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm shift pattern, accompanied with a number of company benefits such as 2% bonus annually and a generous pension scheme.
