Maintenance Engineer - Dorset

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join a UK based and market leading food manufacturing company based in Dorset. 

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a keen eye for detail, someone who is passionate about engineering and ambitious to progress their career. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the engineering team are responsible for the upkeep of the factory and smooth operations.

The company are a market leader in their chosen field and have numerous sites nationwide. They have contracts for their products with many of the major retailers and have ambitious plans to grow and expand. 

We are interested in hearing from you if you have one of the following skills and experiences,

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the food or FMCG environment 
  • Diagnosis of faults and permanent repairs to plant machinery
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Adhering to scheduled PPM maintenance
  • Complying at all times with company health and safety procedures
  • Working as a team to reduce downtime and increase productivity

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have one of the following qualifications

  • Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds)
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Mechanical/electrical training

The Maintenance Engineer role attracts an annual salary of £30,000 - £35,000, on a day shift pattern Monday to Friday. The shift pattern consists of a week of 5.00am - 2pm, and a week of 9am - 6pm.
