Group Purchasing Manager - Fresh Produce - Kent

Our client is one of the leading Fresh Produce businesses in the UK and are now looking for a Group Purchasing Manager, based at their site in Kent. This position would report in to the Group Purchasing Director and has been newly created to manage the current workload alongside growing the business. Please see below for brief details on the position;

Key Responsibilities;

• Identify geographical markets for sourcing of fresh fruit and explore opportunities to develop them
• Coordinate purchases of specific products across sites and national borders, as delegated by the Category Director
• Consult with group and local agronomy teams to follow up standards to be put forward to own growers
• Ensure recurrent issues are integrated in the sourcing and purchasing strategy for the fruit category and corrective measures are taken
