Dispatch Manager - Norfolk

My ever expanding client is looking for a Dispatch Manager to run the organisation of storage and distribution of goods across the business.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Management and planning of all incoming and outgoing goods, including 3rd party goods
  • Management of stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
  • Implementation of new processes and systems to support logistic and dispatch requirements
  • Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers
  • Development and improvement of existing and new business contracts
  • Management of projects
  • Management of direct reports, including allocation of staff resource in line with business needs
  • Continuous improvement of the department and business

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of managing or supervising within a similar role such as supply chain
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong communicator
  • Commercial awareness
  • Previous experience of managing cold stores and 3rd party suppliers / goods
  • Previous experience working in a dispatch environment, preferably food manufacturing or FMCG

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum.
