Butchery Manager - Oxfordshire

I'm looking to speak with experienced Butchery Managers who are looking to further their career by joining a high-end Butchers in Oxfordshire. My clients are a well-renowned butchers within a sought-after farm shop on the outskirts of Oxford. They're looking for a Butchery Manager who is passionate about producing good quality meat products for sale in our counter or pre-pack chillers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage the butchery rota and ensure correct level of staff availability.
• Manage the butchery team and have overall responsibility for compliance with all food safety, health and hygiene requirements.
• Ensuring customer complaints and requirements are met.
• Book and manage holiday requests and absence forms.
• Liaise with the HR Manager with regards to employee performance and disciplinary action.
• Ensure that the team produces enough of the right type of goods for sale each day.

The Candidate:

• Organised and an excellent communicator
• Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields, costs and the proven ability to manage profit and loss margins.
• Passionate about meat and giving a brilliant service.
• The ability to manage a team and use your expertise to grow the butchery department.

The role is to that the butchery department provides the highest standards in customer service and complies with HACCP, health & safety and legal standards at all times.

Salary: Up to £35,000
