We are looking for a motivated and passionate Catering Butcher Production Manager to lead this established wholesale catering butchery operation based in the North West of Greater London / Kent border.

 

The Role

  • Manage a small team - leading by example and providing ongoing training and motivation to staff.
  • Full Carcass butchery
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to all customers.
  • Creating inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays
  • Proactively sharing product information with the team and with customers
  • All due diligence – health and safety, food safety, food hygiene etc.
  • Monitoring sales and margin performance and taking action to ensure targets are met
  • Stock control
  • Play an active role in store set up and close down.
  • Participating in stocktakes, meetings and training as required.

 

The Candidate

  • Previous Management Experience – in a similar (Butchery) Management role
  • Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields and costs
  • Proven ability to manage profit and loss margins.  
  • Strong knife skills
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields and costs
  • Be a good communicator at all levels
  • Be honest, reliable and dedicated
  • Knowledge of businesses within your local area is an advantage but not essential
  • Able to drive – due to location

 

This is a full-time position, days only (early morning starts)

 

The successful candidate will be joining the wholesale side of this multi-site family business, with an excellent reputation in their sector.  In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive basic salary between £35,000 – 45,000 (dependant on skills and experience).
